LG GC900 Viewty 2 photos!
Since it was first tentatively unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event, LG have gone all quiet on the Viewty 2 front. And despite the fact that it has yet to be officially announced or even given a finished name, official images for the GC900 Viewty 2 have leaked from LG hinting that the phone is due to be officially announced imminently!
Looking like a cross between the original Viewty and the LG Secret, let’s have a recap about what we know about the Viewty 2 so far. Featuring an 8.0 Megapixel camera with a Schneider Kreuznach lens, the Viewty 2 is destined to excel in the camera department thanks to premium extras such as face recognition and an image stabiliser. Video capture is also ramped up to 720 x 480 resolution whilst the phone also features support for DivX and Xvid file formats and Dolby Mobile sound te
chnology.
To further differentiate itself from its 8 megapixel touchscreen stablemate, the LG Renoir, the new Viewty 2 (or Viewty Smart as its being called in some circles) runs on LG’s fledgling S-Class 3D interface. Already popular from its debut outing on the recently released LG Arena, the 3D cube interface should feel right at home on the excellent 3 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen. HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity ensure the Viewty 2 will hold its own when it comes to web browsing and should use the same excellent browser as found on the Arena.
As for the rumoured stuff, the Viewty 2 will more than likely feature GPS (possibly with A-GPS support) and it’s safe to assume Geo-tagging will also feature whilst there have also been murmurings of up to 32GB of internal memory (take that Nokia N97!) and even iPhone rivaling multi-touch for the touchscreen display. Whether these features will make the final cut come June when the Viewty 2 is set to launch, we’ll have to wait and see.
